Universal Charge Bar
Bought one, NIB, today at a yard sale today, $3. The set screws are still sealed in the plasic bag.
Compared to the MEC Charge Bar/bushings, does the universal bar work good? I reload about 500 in a mix of 12/20/410 a year. I do have a good scale.

They work ok except for the time spent to dial them in, $3 was well spent and it could lay on shelf for years. 0 -
I'VE USED THESE IN YEARS PAST (HAVE A DILLON NOW, SAME SYSTEM). SURE BEATS A DRAWER FULL OF BUSHINGS, NOT TO MENTION BEINAG ABLE TO 'TAILOR' YOUR OWN LOADS. ALSO NOTICED THAT SOME POWDERS CHANGE WEIGHT FOR THE SAME VOLUME OVER THE YEARS, EASY TO ADJUST FOR THIS. 0 -
The only problem I've had is with larger shot size in my Mec for 410 loads.

That's arguably the best $3 you'll ever spend on shotshell reloading, & the now-obsolete OEM fixed bars/bushings will sell very well on fleaBay .... 0 -
I use the universals on all my mec loaders. They aren't perfect, but I like them. 0 -
