SAA Colt and Heat

I was shooting my SAA 3rd Gen Colt. It has always worked fine and with out problem.. The other day I was shooting and had shot about 7 strings of six in a row. (49 rounds) I was loading and fireing at a normal pace. Suddenly the gun seemed to lock up and I noticed that the accuracy fell off.. We were shooting in the South Florida heat and humidity. Has any one else experienced this problem??
I let the gun cool down for about an hour and it seemed to shoot normally again. Thanks

  only thing I can think of is the pin that the cylinder rotates on that could get hot enough to bind. REMEMBER OIL IS YOUR FRIEND.

  I would check the barrel to cylinder gap.I had a Rossi double action revolver that the cylinder would start dragging on the end of the barrel after lots of firing.I adjusted the gap and the problem stopped.
