No way we could give a accurate valuation without quality photos. Needless to say whats good shape to some folks, isn't to others.

My experience is that most pre war Model 12's were rode hard and put away wet. It would be a real exception to find a 80 year old one, completely factory original and collectors quality. Most times there just well worn "Shooters" and would be valued accordingly.

If good-shape equates to the grading of "Good condition as in the Photo Grading system," and if the gun is a standard 12 gauge, then it is between 60% to 80% with a value of between $250 and $325, plus a 10% premium for the pre-WWII manufacture, according to the latest BBGV.

The serial number indicates that it is a March 1929 vintage gun. Your description leads me to believe that it is a standard Field grade gun. If it is an 80% condition gun, it has a potential value in the $300 - $400 range.

they are asking $500 at the local shows, actually selling $350 range here locally for a decent shooter.

"Asking" and actually getting that much are two different things. As you pointed out, the actual selling price is right in the middle of the value range I mentioned.
