Colt Lightning Revolver ejector housing
Hello!
Can anyone tell me how the threaded insert that accepts the ejector housing screw is attached to the barrel of a Colt model 1877 Lightning/Thunderer revolver? Also, can that part be replaced?
Thanks in advance!

I may be mistaken but I was thinking the barrel was threaded and the thick headed screw passed thru the housing and screwed into the barrel.
I'll look at a couple of mine later today and see for sure.0 -
Buttplate, I looked at one of mine and could not determine how that boss is held to the barrel. There is a small flat on the barrel and the boss is attached "some how"? Maybe staked in? I suggest you go to www.coltforum.com and ask your question there. Lots of helpful people there. Good luck. 0 -
I believed the bushing is brazed into a flat bottomed hole in the barrel. 0
