    If I am not mistaken, all Centinnial's, and Body Gaurd's are round butts.

    Yes, all the Centennials models 40 & 42 were made with round butt frames, even the seldom seen 3" barrel guns. Interestingly these guns came with a pin to lock the grip safety down.

    Where did the pin go, did you remove the grips?

    Notice parts No. 20, and 20B. On No. 20, notice the 'teensy little hole' on the shank of the hook. Now, imagine the grip safety in place in the frame, and compressed. Now, notice the corresponding hole in the frame. You would drift out part No.20B from the storage hole, and drift it into the frame and through the upper part of the grip safety. That will keep the grip safety fixed in the compressed position. It's strongly recommended that you retain the grip safety spring (part No.21) so there's no chance of loss, and any slop will be eliminated. Hope I helped, Joe

    I've had the gun since 1973 and never had the grips off that I remember and had never heard about those pins. Learn something everyday. Thanks a lot.
