Government Model .380 & Mustang II had 7 shot magazines. Mustang & Mustang lightweight had 5 shot mags. More then likely that what their for.

    Thanks, Rufe.

They look like the ones in Cheapern'dirt online catalog which describes them as 6-rd Mustang. Without dimensions listed I don't know for sure if identical to mine, but surely LOOK the same. Saw no mention of a Govt. Model 380.

The magazine on the left, the longer one, is for Colt Mk IV Government model .380's and pocketlites and Mustang Plus II's. The shorter one on the right should fit the regular Colt .380 Mustang and Mustang Pocketlites. Please be sure to let us know when you offer them for sale here on Gunbroker.Com auction site. Thanks!

Thanks, TWalker. I think you and Rufe-snow have nailed 'em for me.

Short one is for Colt .380 Mustang and Mustang Pocketlites. Long one is for MkIV Government Model 380 and pocketlites, and Mustang Plus II's.

One last question: Are they 6- or 7-rd mags?

Will dig out the next unknown and post it for info.

Easy to find out with a handful of ammo. [:D]

andrewsw16, preferably should be .380acp cal.

I collect .22rf guns and ammo. Got a few thousand rounds of that laying around, but not 380. My guns don't eat 'em. [:(]

Gov't model MK IV and Mustang plus II mags hold 7 rounds.
The Mustang standard mag holds 6 rounds.

Without original sealed packaging, most folks would call the magazines "used". The magazines seem to have slide marks on them meaning that they probably were used or at least pushed into a gun.

Check Midway USA for these magazines to see what they are charging to get some idea of their used value.

    Thanks for that info, Wolf.
I just checked and found Midway charges $19.95 for each of those models. So, I guess it would be best to put a start bid of $5 on them, and not advertise them as new, but just excellent condition.

Being a single-shot collector, I'm nor very familiar with other types.
