Any scope experts out there

I bought a gun collection a while back, in the extra stuff was a scope I have yet to identify. The only markings on the scope are;
Telescope,M7 Serial No. 43717
Stock no.7690126 7671693

Scope measures; 8 3/4" long and 7/8" diameter at the objective end and 1" at the ocular end. It has a solid horizional and split vertical cross hairs. Looking for any clue as to Manufacture and worth. Any help would be great. Thank you.

  Its an old military scope. Probably a WWII era scope and most likely manufactured by Weaver. It also could be made by Unertl but that was Vietnam era. Your scope looks like it couldve been mounted on a 1903 or an M1 Garand. If its a Weaver, just google them and call them. They should be able to give you a date of manufacture.

  There were apparently multiple manufacturers, I found mention of one M7 marked by Bausch and Lomb.

  Hawk, Thank you. I did google it, honest. All I got was a bunch of scope sites. I was hoping it was for a vintage sniper gun, bummer. Anyway. Thanks again, Alan
