does the PPS-43c jam frequently?
I've heard mixed reports on the PPS-43c. Some say it operates flawlessly. Others says it's a jam-o-matic. Others say any jamming problems are likely the result of bad ammo. One gunsmith told me, "It's a lottery. Some are good and some are bad."

Did more research. Seems like the original batch of PPS-43Cs (late 2009? 2010?) had problems with the trigger assembly and firing pin. Owners diagnosed the problem and created a fix that many performed themselves. The issue was repaired in the second batch of imports. One vendor told me they were into a third batch of imports (which also incorporates the improved design). It seems like folks who have the second/third batch report few (if any) problems.
I'm neither an expert nor a gunsmith. Only reporting what seems accurate to me. Would welcome corrections.0 -
Not a real popular gun. I think they look kinda fugly.
Think I would rather have that Sten style gun in 7.62x25. Forget who makes them but have read positive reviews here on the sten variant.
I imaging the main problem is the wide variety of surplus 7.62x25. I believe these come into the US as kits and are built here. I don't believe they are new guns being imported.
Best bet would be to buy one from a reputable source and make sure it has a warranty. Try a couple different types of 7.62x25 before stocking a ton of it.
Or have a couple other Tokerov - CZ52 pistols to use the excess surplus ammo that doesn't work in the PPS.0 -
I bought one. Shoots nice. No jams. I like the way it looks. It came from the factory REALLY dirty and had to be cleaned. 0 -
I recently bought one. It has failed to fire 2 times in 50 shoots. Both times the round failed to fully chamber. I think the chamber was dirty. I have cleaned it more carefully, but it is hard to see or reach the chamber. Over all the operating parts of the gun are new and a bit stiff. I expect it to free up some with more shooting.
A sling and a laser help a lot.0 -
I should clarify. When I say my PPS-43c had to be cleaned, I mean completely disassembled and cleaned part by part. There were 1/8"-long chunks of Polish mystery crud in the receiver. 0 -

spinneyrob, uugh!!! that is bad. I have not done that kind of clean.
I did take mine to a gun show to find a sling and a rail to m't a laser. It gets lots of second looks.0
