Early model Janssen & Sons, hammer gun. Appears to be much higher quality then the common Belgian hammer guns that were imported to the U
.S. prior to the First World War.

Janssen was a noted Belgian manufacturer that made some fine quality guns. Yours appears to be one of them.

Need input and hands on with a shotgun pro. Post your photos and questions to one of the on-line shotgun sites, i.e. Shotgun World or Double Gun Journal. Lot of European collectors hang there, they might be able to help you more hopefully.

Janssen & Sons. "Trade Brand Name" used by the Belgian maker Janssen, Fils & Company of Liege,Belgium in business from 1895 to 1965.
