Champion..How Old

I have a iver johnson champion 12 ga. with a 32 inch barrel..serial #866xx e..is there any way to find out how old it is........

  There are no known specific serial number records for I.J. Champion shotguns, but those with an all numeric serial number were made 1909-1919 period. (Later guns had letter sn suffixes)
  
  Edit: Just noticed the e before ..is in your post: If the E is part of the serial, a one letter suffix dates to 1920s.
