    First thing I would do, would be to check the online auctions. Although not likely there will be another 44 adjustable sight CA, you will get a Ball Park feel for what they are going for. Unless it's NIB not likely to be any collector interest.

    CA have had 3 different owners/manufacturers over the years and have always been sold as inexpensive ( as compared to S & W & Colt ) personal protection handguns. Keep that in mind when pricing your Bulldog.

    I recently put a .357Mag Target Bulldog, Excellent condition, up for on-line auction - it sold for $285.
    From the 1st Generation Charter Arms Corp. data base I'm compiling with currently around 1000 data points:
    s/n 500K was reached in Sept./Oct. 1979. Your piece was made 34K before that, CA Corp was making around 38K to 40K per year at that time, so, we can assume your's was made about 9 to 10 months before - late 1978 to v. early 1979.
