If I buy the rifle lets say .308. Will I need to change the forend to fit a shotgun or muzzle loader barrel ?

  Yes. Forends on the T/C series are a bit of a mystery to me. I have about 30 barrels and a bunch of forends. Aside from the "Super 14" barrels and Encore rifle barrels what fits what is a challenge. I just grab what I've got until holes line up .....
  
  Midway usually has good descriptions on what fits what.
