Optics? Hensoldt Wetzlar ZF 10 X 42 ZF500

I have heard of but I am not familiar with the optics.I bought a steyr SSG 308 rifle with the scope about 15 years ago.It seems vary clear.Ser # 1588XX Ring marks but they are not bad.
Can someone tell me where it was made, when it was made, and approximate how much it is worth.

  Hensoldt scopes were made in Germany. That particular model is not listed in Old Rifle Scopes by Nick Stroebel. They were high quality and expensive.

  Can't help with the vintage, but I know those particular models can bring up to $1,200-$1,400 in excellent condition with 100% optical clarity. They are highly sought after and usually do not take long to sell if priced fairly. Nice find.[;)]
