1100 Feed problem

ok so i just got 2 1100's from my dad. he got them sometime in mid to late 70's in Germany (don't know if date makes diff) but any way.

so today i go to trap/skeet range with them for the first time. So i just take them to the blank range to make sure of its operation and safety and i found that when i load 1 in chamber and at least 2 in mag tube after i shot the chambered round it will eject shell hule just fine but tries and double feed. So is this a common 1100 prob or is there a prob i need to look for. Gun in question is a 12ga

    Just put one shell in the mag tube and see what happeneds. Sounds like the shell stop needs replaced.

    sorry forgot to add that 1 shell at a time is 100% fine no issues only when i have more than 1 shell in mag tube only

    Go to remington.com and review the proper loading sequence for the 1100, just in case.

    really? damn i did not know it was loaded any diff than anyother auto shotgun or my other 1100

    If you haven't changed the o-ring at the end of the mag tube, then do so asap. Most likely your cause. Also be sure that the gas system is super clean including the gas ports inside the barrel "ring". I have built several 1100s. Best
