Front Sight Hood - Springfield 1903 & 03-A3

Will the front sight hood for an 03-A3 fit on a 1903 Springfield? I have one for the 03-A3 but just purchased the 1903. Photos of them look identical.

Also, if so - How the heck do you attach it to the rifle?

  If you put it on the 1903, please leave it on. Each time the sight protector is installed or removed from a rifle some of the finish is removed.
