RCBS or DILLON?

Looking for a new progressive reloader for 9mm to large rifle cal. around the $500 range + or - a few dollars. Had a rock cruncher yrs. ago but now i want a progressive loader. Just looking for some input from users which you like best and why.

  Never had a problem with my Dillon, wear parts were replaced free.

  Sometimes it is not the price you pay when you buy an item that is the most important BUT the support you get after the sale. I love the old discontinued Star reloaders However they are for pistol only. Cry one time and get a Dillion they are the gold standard of reloading equipment when it comes to Product/Customer support.End of story.

  no doubt.., get a Dillon, the XL650 is the one i own have reloaded exclusively over 100,000 5.56mm NATO rounds , a few hiccups but mostly on my part, the support i have received over the years (ALL FREE) is the best ever from any company. they don't mind chatting with you over a situation.

  The two companies of which you speak of, are both outstanding companies, as far as product lines, innovation, and customer care/support(care is the bigger word, as both of them care about their customers. For that matter, so does Hornady.
  
  However, when it comesa to progressive reloading, Dillon stands on top of the heap. From what I have seen, they have been the leader in consumer progressive loaders for the last two decades, with the lone exception of The Green Machine from RCBS, which was a pistol caliber only loader, and it was an in line loader, not a turn table.
  
  I would reccommend the 650, as it is is modular, and you can add on case feed, bullet feed, and primer feed, if I am not mistaken. Cry once, and enjoy the rest. Keep that old Rock Chucker around for real serious work.

  Dillon all the way.
  They make great machines.And as other have said, a fantastic company.
  They are very well built, and you can "customize" them to your liking.
  They are expensive, but well worth the cost in the long run.
  I would suggest the basic 550 for occasional reloading, and the 650 with all the bells and whistles for the serious, constant , high output reloader.
  I have the 650 and could not be happier.

  Depends on how large a rifle you are talking about.
  Best read the catalogs. The Dillon 550 will handle longer rounds than a 650, for example. Hornady lists some pretty long cartridges, too. I don't know about the RCBS.

  My machines are Dillons. Always had great customer support with troubleshooting and replacement of worn or broken parts.
