Winchester 92 and 94 stock interchangability?

Will a stock for a Winchester 94AE interchange with a Japanese made Winchester 92? I have a Japanese 92 in 45 Colt and it has the crescent buttplate, I want to put a straight buttplate stock on the rifle as I don't like the way the crescent shape fits my shoulder.

  I believe 92 and 94 buttstocks are interchangeable.
  The 92 carbine should come with a curved but not crescent buttplate.
  A good woodworker, cabinetmaker should be able to fit a carbine buttplate.
  I believe Brownells has buttplates.
  Replacing just the buttplate will save fitting a new buttstock and also consider the wood will not match your forend.

  Winchester 1894 and 1892 buttstocks are interchangeable.
  I am not making any bets on whether an AE stock will fit a Miroku 92.
