Rem R/Block 43 Spanish bore dia. ?
I've purchased a R/B in 43 Spanish. The book shows this should shoot a .439 bullet, however my bore mic's out at .442 I would like any info. on what I need to shoot this. I understand that Win. 348 cases can be used with a little work. Thanks

IIRC, the bore would measure about what you got. I had a RB in 43 Sp. several years ago, and ordered a box of ammo for it. I took a nice 6 point whitetail with it at about 40 yards. Man, that was a long rifle to get into a deer stand.
I'm told the 348 cases will need to be new ones due to the stretching of the brass. Good luck!0 -
grdad, where did you get your ammo.? thanks 0 -
Bore or groove diameter? (Clip or magazine.)
I'd rather pay Buffalo Arms and Jamison than do a "little work" on .348s. A friend has one from the first wave years ago and .348 brass is kind of a kluge when new or even redrawn brass is available, even at high prices.

BA has .439" bullets but you would do best to shoot them with real black powder to bump them up into the rifling.

Litetrigger, I am trying to remember, but can't recall the place. It was about $45 for 20 rds.0 -
the standard bore size is .439, however the Reformando ctg is a .446 bore diameter. If you have not fired it yet, a chamber cast may be in order to determine the correct ctg. 0
