Ruger Model 77

I just got a Barrel for a .308 Norma Mag. Besides 300 Win Mag what other Caliber should I be looking for If I wan an easy conversion to the .308 Norma.

No I want to get a ruger M77 and put my .308 Norma Mag Barrel on it. So would need a round that is close in Size Dia and length.


Ok .308 Norma Mag is overal Length is 3.25 and Dia .530


300 Win Mag is 3.340 and a dia of .532

But .264 Win Mag
is only 2.5 long and Dia is ok at .532

.338 is 2.5 long and a Dia is ok at .532

7 MM is 2.5 long and Dia is .532.

.264, .338 and 7 MM would seem to be too short.

  if you are looking for brass 7mm rem mag works well, or you can buy NORMA brass for it (++$$)

  7mm Rem Mag
  338 Win Mag
  264 Win Mag
  
  All are the same basic case except for caliber. 300 Win Mag is slightly longer than the others, but should work fine as well.

  FYSA, on .300WM, 3.34" is the OAL not case length, which is 2.62".

  Check your reference again. For 300 & 308 you have posted the cartridge overall length. For the 264, 7mm, and 338 you have posted the case length.
