I never mentioned in my initial post that I had a gas operated rifle. Learn something every day. In future posts I will always include what kind of rifle. Never thought about the gas system issues, but that's why you come to places like this, so many minds can come together. Well it looks like I'm gona be off to the powder store. Hate it when that happens. Think I'll look over those new Ruger 1911 while I'm there. Thanks again.

  OLD SALT---If you find a Ruger 1911, BUY IT !!!!! I'm a dealer, and can't find one to buy. HAWKSHAW

  You would be pretty safe with those loads.
  The FAL has an adjustable gas system for the use of different loads.
