    Yes, I do have an idea. Look for a Model 1894 stock of the same style. They are the same reciever.

    Some 1894's, and 94's have pistolgrip, or semi-pistolgrip stocks also.

    I wish you luck on finding that particular stock! Depending on how deep your pockets are, you could always order a stock set from Boyds! Best

    Tsr1965, You are correct to a fault. After further observation it turns out this gun IS a 94.
    I was comparing it to my first year 64, and the ser # seemed to low, way low. Low enough it says 1894 on the tang, OOPS. DOM 1902
    I haven't got to talk to the store manager yet, but I believe they were duped also.(they sold it as a 64)
    I can't believe I missed that tang marking.

    Model 64s have a Pistol Grip stock !

    Model 64s have a butt stock that was unique to the Model 64... a pistol grip Model 1894 or Model 94 stock is not the same as a Model 64 stock.

    You are correct , there are Pistol Grip 94s ! I have yet to see a straight stocked 64 though !
