Sling Swivels On 1887 & 1897

What's the best way to mount sling swivels on the front of 1887 & 1897 shotguns? Didn't they use to make a 2 piece barrel band that clamped around the barrel or magazine tube. Thanks.

  Yes, they still make a barrel and/or magazine band for shotguns. Probably Uncle Mike's makes it and certainly Brownell's carries it.
