Primer problems
I purchased an AR15 upper (.410 ga)from ATI (American Tactical Imports) some time back.
After MUCH difficulties with feeding problems, I finally broke down an purchased the ATI brand .410 slugs.
Now I have a new problem. The new ammo seems to feed much more reliably, with one MAJOR exception.
I fired 10 rounds of the ATI brand slugs. I got 3 failures to feed, but on further inspection I realized that the primers are backing out of the casing and fouling the chamber.
Could this be a head-space problem, or is this just crappy ammo?

Mgderf,
There are too many variables to give you a pat answer which will guarantee that your firearm will function 100%.
The real solution is to call ATI and explain your dilemma to them and see what process they need for you to follow to return the firearm (upper) to them for repair. It's not your problem, it's theirs. They took your money, they need to fix the problem. They should also pay for shipping or send you a return tag.

Best.
Took your advice and called ATI. Explained my troubles, and they asked me to return the upper. Said they will repair or replace.
Thanks for your help.0 -
Mgderf,
