1893 Marlin question

Can somebody give me an example of how Marlin would have stamped the caliber on the barrel for a 30-30, on a rifle made in say 1900?

  Hello,
  
  If a 1893 Marlin has a pistol grip stock is this considered a deluxe model 1893?

  Brophy notes in his book that the typical caliber marking on the Model 1893 barrel was hand stamped. One of the pictures shows it to have been on the top barrel flat just forward of the receiver, i.e. 38-55.
