Taurus 1911 calibers
Was just looking over the 2011 Taurus catalog. NOT seeing the 38 Super flavor listed in the 1911, they just list the 45 ACP and 9mm. Going to do a little more research, but does anyone know if they were having issues with 'em 38 Super or were they just not good sellers?

I bought a Taurus 1911 in 38 Super when they first came out, killed lots of bowling pins with it. Sometimes carry gun in cooler weather. Never had a problem with it, eats all of my handloads just fine. It even cycles with my 3.4gr Bullseye load for NRA Bullseye Shooting. Best $500 1911 I've ever owned.

the conversion works well so far, the tok is a little longer and dosen't fit in the original taurus mags. but does in the wilson mags.

Woo, look at those prices! I hate looking back at some of the price stickers on some of my older stuff and look at what it is now....Somewhere in the stacks I got a box of .380 hydra-shoks that list 7.95 , a box of Remington 16 gauge from Montgomery Wards for 2.85 and some Speer .30-30 (In the plastic case) for 7.
As for the Taurus .38 Super, maybe they just didn't sell enough to keep them in the line??0 -
THE WIN. TOKREV ISN'T THAT OLD (5 YEARS?), THE .38 I BOUGHT A ACE HDW FOR 5 BUCKS (CLOSE OUT ON ALL AMMO)[:D] 0 -
Sounds like at least a few happy Taurus customers with 38 Super 1911s. Anyone know why Taurus is not selling them this year? 0
