REMINGTON 722 HELP

I picked up a remington 722 in 300 savage. It has two drilled and tapped screws holes on the top in front of the action and two drilled and tapped screw holes on the left rear side on the back of the action. Could the ones in the back have been for a peep site, or does any one know of a scope mount in this configuration. I really don't want to drill any more holes in the gun could someone recommend a scope mount.Thank you.

  Hello Remington uses letter codes on their barrels to denote date made . Look at Sticky post on top of this forum to decode your date.
