Do you know what S&W I've got?????
I picked it up at the pawn shop today.
The clerk said they had just pulled it less than an hour ago.
O.K., here it is. It's ser. # is 23121. It's stamped on bottom of grip and also on edge of cylinder.
It has NO MODEL NUMBER on inside of crane!!!
What is stamped on crane is 99665 with a 3 below them.
This is a 4 inch , blued, .22 caliber , 6- shot with ajustable rear sights. The front has a squarw or sharp blade sight with a gold/ brass bead on blade.
Oh, it does have a FLAT LATCH cylinder opener.
I can say it's NOT a k22, or a kitgun.
i looked up all of these and they are differant.
The S&W logo is very small .
it's on the latch side. The oppisite side has nothing on side plate.
T barrell says 22 long rifle ctg....before and after this is some little stamp. Too small for me to read.
I bought it for 2 bills, plus tax.
Any idea of age and worth?

That said the serial number puts it in the range of a .22 Ladysmith 3RD Model.0 -
I believe you have a pre Model 34 Kit Gun, dating to approximately 1954.
$200+ seems to be a very fair price, if it's factory original and in at least Very Good cosmetic condition. Please post quality photos for positive identification and valuation.
EDIT #1, Ladysmiths had 7 shot cylinders, and no barrel latch on the left side of the frame.0 -

It has plastic "stag horn " aftermarket grips on it.
It prob rates 75 -80% as per the book.0 -

How many screws are in the side plate [?]
Does it have the trigger guard and strain screws [?]
The front sight could have been modified with a bead on it.0 -
Best I can tell, you DO have a .22-32 Kit Gun, a "pre-Model 34" for the Digital Age. The bead front sight has been a factory option for a long time. If it is hemispherical it is a McGivern bead, if it is (nearly) flat it is a Call bead.
The plastic stag grips and finish wear detract from resale value but $200 is still cheap for a sound shootable S&W.0 -

It has 3 screws. One is three o'clock in front of trigger. Other two are rearward at approx. 9 o'clock and just above the main spring in grip/ frame area. Also it's a round globle bead sight on front.
