    Hi,

There should be no issue with using the Hornady Lever Revolution ammunition in your Ruger Blackhawk pistol.

Hornady has an advertisement flier which describes their application of the Lever Revolution ammunition for use in pistols.

Hornady advertises that now a two gun one caliber combination can be carried with just one type of ammunition.

Muzzle velocity from the 44 magnum is an impressive 1870 fps with 225 grain bullet.

    Enjoy.

Is there any problem shooting Hornady 44mag Leverevolution ammo in my Ruger Blackhawk revolver?

It won't hurt your gun, but since it costs about 75% more than comparable "ordinary" .44 magnum ammo it might make a hole in your wallet!

I've used it in handguns with no problem-it's designed for rifles and revolvers. Midway has it on sale now for $17.99 a box of 20 and I can usually find it close to that locally. If you are a reloader you can buy the FTX bullets and you can roll your own--at the moment though Hodgdon only makes the rifle version of the Leverevolution powder available for reloaders--you could probably use their Titegroup or Lilgun powders and they have recipies on their website. Hornady also has some FTX data on their website but for some reason they only list .44 Magnum rifle only loads where they list both rifle and handgun loads for .357 and .45 Colt--you might want to contact them to see if they have .44 Handgun load data for the FTX bullets--assuming you reload.
