Smith & Wesson 27-2
Hi...Has anyone ever verified a factory 27-2 with a 5 1/2 in barrel? My Standard Catalog fails to mention this barrel length. BT

I have never seen a 5 1/2" model 27 before, but thats not to say they dont exist. I have 3 1/2", 4", 5" & 6" 27's. I also have a model 36 with a 6" barrel from the factory, never a cataloged item, only about 24 made that way, so anything is possible. 0 -
Just checking,but are you measuring it correctly? From muzzle to the front of the cylinder,not just to the front of the frame. 0 -
Has nothing to do with me. This is about a Smith that a guy was selling on GB, and claimed it has a 5 1/2 in. barrel. Says it's mentioned in the "Smith Big Book", whatever that is. Told him that the Standard Catalog says nothing about a 5 1/2 in. model 27-2, but he blew that off. Sold it anyhow. BT 0
