#9 still looks like Remington 550-1 to me.
Is the fore end inletted for a tubular magazine?
Also, if a 550-1 there should be a shallow area about 1 inch long on the right side near the rear of the action that's inletted for the typical Remington safety. Don't know if your butt plate is original
(or even what variations may have occurred over its production history), but the rear plate on mine is black plastic with fine sharp checkering, screws at toe and heel as you'd expect, and a small portion of the toe smooth with no checkering and the same on the heel with a smooth circle around the screw. That's about all I can tell you from what I have and what I can see of yours. A good picture of the action inletting would likely clinch it, yea or nay. Measurements might help as well. The position of the main screw that hold the rifle into the stock and the trigger guard relative to the stock contour seem right as well.0 -

Hey Rob, I believe you are correct, thanks!...wpage, ok, fair enough..the ones I've sent out already cost about 15 bux to ship priority, how about any shown here for 20 delivered? I know this forum isn't for selling but just a deal for the guys who've help LOTS! cheaper for multiples!
