I know this ain't much help, but this suggestion might work if it is all you have:

Try to search various Colt revolvers on Google images or in GB fourms to see what you can find out. It won't help with the thread pattersns, but it could be a start.

From the first Model 1892 to the last Python made in 2005, there have been dozens of styles of ejector rod knobs. As far as I know, all of the "modern" revolvers use the same thread size. Why not post pictures on the Colt Forum website and ask for identification?

I'm going to have some made up and I need to know what fits what and part numbers.
About the time I think I have a good handle on it, I find another variation size wise or periodwise.
So, far, I have 6 different part numbers. They all appear to have the same thread just different diameters and length.
    Any help would be appreciated.
I have a thread on the Colt Forum and not much info so far.
