nipple for H&R Springfield Stalker
I own an old .45 caliber H&R Springfield Stalker. I am trying to find out what size nipple fits it. I called H&R and they have no idea. Any help you could give me would be appreciated.

You might give the Dixie Gun Works site a try. They use to list that sort of information in the reference section of their annuals. Might have transitioned it to their web site? 0 -
A web search came up with a site that says 1/4-28. 0 -

I actually did try a 1/4-28 and it was too big.

Case it up and take it to the nearest store that stocks multiple sizes. With any luck, the clerk may let you try them for size. My local store has no problem with that. Good luck. 0 -
Here is a page I got off the net with all the different various nipple sizes. I never realized that so many different ones were used. If H & R used a foreign made barrel likely the nipple will be some metric size.
