I have a Rockola M1 Carbine with the barrel stamped.

  I was wondering if anyone knew a left handed saftey lever is avalible for the M1 Carbine or if its possible for the existing lever to be fliped around so it can be better opperated by a left-handed shooter.

  CAI is (I think) Century Arms International, located in St Albans. Altho your carbine was MADE in the US, it was transferred out at some point, and was later imported BACK into the US. Importer must mark firearms with their names and location.

  Might have had some usage in post W W II Germany. The abbreviation "LP" is sometimes encountered on surplus German firearms. It can be interpreted as either "Landpolizei" or "Landes Polizei", i.e. State Police. The third letter might be the state or municipality?
