Star mod AS ....38 Super?

I have a Star, mod As, 9mm/38.........am i right, this pistol shoots only 38 super ammo? Anyone know? Thanks

From Star web site :

" Pistols marked 9 mm / 38 are designed to fire .38 ACP and 9 mm Largo ammunition, but NEVER .38 Super. "

EDIT: P.S. Star is no longer in business. Also, both those calibers are hard find in the U.S.

You can load .38 Auto using .38 Super cases and data for the .38 auto. Lyman shows a load of a 130 grain fmj bullet with 4.5 grains of Unique at about 825 fps.

Doing some online research and found an ammunition company out of Oklahoma that is manufacturing new 9mm Largo ammunition for decent prices. F.Y.I. Best
