western holsters
Recieved a double rig holster manufactured by S.D. Myres. Fitted for 5 1/2" colts. Flower pattern.

You are better off going with Ross. You can get them suede lined, and they have better fit, and look better.

No, I have no personal experience with Triple K rigs. The name sounds familiar and I think they somewhat well-known amongst the CAS/SASS folks. If you are going to use a belt and holster rig for Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS), be careful of the manner in which the holsters are lined.
Some "authentic" western holster and belt makers will offer a deerskin (buckskin) or "suede" (actually leather splits, today) lining in their holsters. If you get this, the only way yer gonna pull them pistols, pard, is to tie them down. That type of lining is going to hold onto the revolver and make it difficult to draw. In the old days, that served the purpose of helping to prevent loss of the gun.
Today, a CAS leathermaker should know that a CAS shooter wants to get those guns out smoothly and quickly and will line the holsters with smooth, grain leather. A test of a good leather worker is the type of leather he uses. The very best is made in the USA by Herman Oaks leather. If your leather maker buys his stuff from Tandy or The Leather Shop (same place), move on. I'm not sure what Triple K uses and they probably will dance around telling you.
Truth is, though, if you buy a holster for a Colt SAA (or clone), it is almost certainly going to fit fine. The problem is that you generally pay too much for these CAS rigs. I can buy a hand-tooled, beautifully made custom rig made by a true craftsman out of Herman Oaks leather for less than what one of these "Famous Cowboy" CAS/SASS leathermakers charge for their plain (little or no stamping or carving), mass produced stuff, churned out in a large metal shop building by you-know-who.

Their products are very good for a non-custom shop. You will rarely, if ever, hear anything derogatory about El Paso Saddlery. They make quality products. However, my earlier comments regarding price/cost of good, custom leather makers vs. production leather shops, the quality of leather they use and the comments regarding holster lining material still stand.0 -

I have the 'General Patton' holster and General Officers' belt rig for my nickel plated 1st Gen Colt SAA. I asked for the 'lining option', and the lining is of a different kind of leather* than the rest of the rig.
The leather lining is smooth side out..and makes for a slicker operation.
EP Saddlery actually adjusts the sizing of the unlined holster to accomodate the lining..so the gun fits like a hand to a glove W/O showing any evidence of being too tight. Joe

Taws.....I am with Ruger 41 on this question. Triple K is about Walmart quality as far as holsters go. You see them in a lot of bulk catalogs. I have several and they are just run of the mill holsters and certainly no comparison to my El Paso holsters which are quality made and quality leather. I typically only buy one holster for my weapons so I like to get the best I get according to my pocketbook at the time. I am not familiar with Oaks but they sound like EP. In holsters, like anything else, you get what you pay for.0 -

Another benefit to top grain lining is it won't trap and hold grit/crud that can scratch bluing.0
