Military Cartridge Headstamps
I am using military brass from the 40's, 50's and 60's in my Garands. I know that LC=Lake City, but in what state? I believe that TW=Twin Cities, but again, in what state? I have some DM 43; what/where was that? EW=Eu Clare, WI?

Two digits are the last two digits of the year of manufacture. Early 20th century cartridges may have additional digits indicating the month of manufacture. The letter code indicates the place of manufacture:

Straying from the original question, I believe that EC was originally Eau Claire, for about one month in 1942, and was then reassigned to Evansville CHrysler. Also, I believe that ECS (Evansville Chrysler Sunbeam) made only cartridge cases, which were then shipped to EC. EC and ECS production was mostly terminated in 1943, by then having produced over 3 billion rounds (Yamamoto didn't know how right he really was, LOL). 0
