I have a 1942 commercial 1911A1 and it is in mint condition and would like to know what they are going for.......thanks

You could look through completed auctions on the sales side of Gunbroker and see what a real nice prewar actually sold for.

Blue Book thinks 98% = $4500

1911A1 was what the U S Military called it. If it is the same gun built for civilian sale by Colt it was called the Government Model.

Is it in original "mint condition" or refinished "mint condition"? Pictures would really help.
