Gun Safe
I'm looking into getting a gun safe with fire protection. Only thing is I'm kinda stupid on this subject. I looked on line and they all seem about the same to me. My price range is gonna be around $500.00 and I'm thinking 10 to 12 guns should be plenty big enough. Any opinions or info would be greatly appreciated.

Look up a similar size safe, take about 75% of that and put it on a local "for sale" board ({elsewhere} style). Due to the frt. issues a nationwide board won't help much.
There are always "gun safe" wanted ads as these are a hot item. They will pick it up and normally give you a pretty good return.

If you haven't heard it yet, you will sure enough, post multiple good quality photos per the instructions on the top of the "Ask the Experts" page in order for members to give you much of any assistance in identifying or giving you pertinent information or estimation of valueations of firearms and such.

I've not the time to do so now, however you could do a search on the auction side of GunBroker and see what it might pull-up for you.
Those are couple of methods that I can think of for determining a rough ballpark idea of value.
If it were me, I'd be hanging on to it, personally. However, if you are parting with it for whatever reasons, those might give you some area to start from. I'd recommend of course that you list it on the auction side after you do your homework. If you do that, let me know, I'd bid on it for you ( and for me! ). [;)]0 -

You have a parts gun made by putting a Colt Super .38 barrel and slide on an aftermarket reciver made by Essex Arms. Legally, it is an Essex, not a Colt, and is not worth nearly as much as a real Colt.0
