Browning BSS forearm comes off when fired
I bought a 12 gauge BSS on the net and just got it. It fires and ejects fine with both light and heavy loads but when I break it open to eject the spent cartridges, the forearm comes off. I suspect it has been fired a lot but I'd like to fix it myself if possible. Any suggestions welcomed. It's not a boat anchor candidate yet so is there anything I can do to remedy it?

Short of taping in on, I don't know of any "easy" fix. Contact Browning. 0 -

I have experienced the same problem. It could be something as simple as someone has refinished the stock and the takdown lever mechanism is not fitting into the recess in the forearm correctly. Remove the takedown lever and see if anything is causing the mechanism from fitting into the slot. The tip of the lever should show some damage if it is the problem. 0
