OLD damascus barrel SXS?
[:)]Have OLD SxS 12 ga. with [xx(]POOR barrels. [8)]I don't want to shoot BP shells in them.[:0] WHAT, about barrel liners OR inserts in a smaller cal.??[^] SAFE [?]

I made a pair of .32 S&W long liners for a 16ga.
It was more to make it go bang then to use it for anything.
If you have rifle barrels and reamers and a lathe, you can make up a lot of stuff.
Keep in mind that the breach pressure should be kept low, a lot of those old guns were cast iron and internal voids can happen.0 -
If the barrels are bad as you say, do NOT use the reducer style chamber inserts. {IE..12gauge to 20, 28, .410} Have a gunsmith reline the whole barrel to something smaller. Mucho work and money. 0 -
Briley would sleeve your barrels for only $1750, Simmons charges $1900. Maybe you could get it done cheaper somewhere else, but not a LOT cheaper. 0 -
hey partsman, this has nothing to do with this question but yur model RG 24 topic has been locked out. check "RG grips" on GB. lots of pics and there's a pair of mod 24's that look just like e-gunparts grip pics that they unfortunatly are out of stock. What are the markings on the gun? Look for names on the barrels or on the locks. Also look on the bottom of tha barrels under the forearm for any proof marks. 0
