WWII helmet

I have a helmet stamped cl/c 1942. I have looked it up on line and some say its british and some say its canadian. it looks like a old doughboy. Can someone tell me what it is. Thanks

  WW2 British Army steel helmet, worth about $100 in good shape, thats what I got for mine.

  It could be either one. clc helmets were used by Canada and GB..
