Bolt face
What is the difference in the bolt face between .44 Mag. and .44-40, and .44 38?
Am asking because I would like to have these calibers in a Henry, but they say there is not any interest in these calibers because they are "outdated".
For GOD and COUNTRY
Not as Lean[:D][:D]2X as Mean[:(!][:(!]But STILL a MARINE[}:)][}:)]

Look up the drawings of each cartridge here > http://www.stevespages.com/page8d.htm 0 -
The difference in bolt faces should show smaller diameter firing pins and holes for higher pressure 44Mag.There is also a minor rim diameter difference.
I suspect you could have a 44 mag Henry converted to 44-40 or 38-40
without any real problems.0
