Old Euro Shotgun
Trying to help a gent ID a shotgun- has Birmingham proofs- sxs, external hammers, double triggers, and the barrel release is a lever that is attached at the front of the trigger guard, and follows the curve of the trigger guard (it is under the guard). Have seen one of these before, but am having an episode of CRS, drawing a blank. Any guesses on brand of gun? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

Generally they will be marked on the top of the barrels and on the side plates. They markings will be either/or, Trade Name, Manufacturer, Retailer. If the one your inquiring doesn't have any of the above? Either it has seen so much wear and use the markings have worn off, or they have been removed during refinishing. 0 -
Sounds like a Jones system or double grip action.
EVERYBODY used them at one time or another.
So if it is not marked, you are out of luck.
