EAA WITNESS 45 ACP
What can anyone tell me about this gun? The one I have coming is all steel (heavy) 41oz. with 10 round magazine. Can the magazine for the CZ97 be used is the Witness too? Mine has the "wonder finish". This will be my first 45 ACP. Please advise!

They should fit. It is an Italian license built CZ97. I think they are a great buy as a pistol goes. Others think...not so much. The lack of a high price is what gets people to thinking they just aren't made satisfactorily. They are well built in my opinion. 0 -

Its an Italian made gun based on the CZ design.
Its not quite a "clone", since most parts will not interchange.
Its a good gun, designed to be caliber-modular. The controls and grip are ergonomic, and the heavy weight eats up recoil making shooting heavy rounds fast easy and comfortable. IPSC type shooters love this gun.
EAA gun is designed so you can swap the location of the mag release onto the right side of the pistol for left-handed use, if you like. Consequently, the mags use two (not one) release/locking slots.
The "Wonder" finish is a highly durable nitride-based finish chemically similar to the Smith/Walther "Melonite", the Glock "Tenifer" and the Sig "Nitron".
Unlike the others, Tanfoglio doesn't blacken its finish, so it appears to be stainless or raw-steel (even though it isn't).
I don't know about the the CZ97 and the large frame witness, but in my experience 9mm magazines for the CZ75 will work fine in the small frame Tanfoglio Witness. The reverse is NOT true. . .EAA mags will NOT work in the CZ75.

You know most folks do it the other way around when they see how much CZ charges for 97B magazines. [;)]
I have a 97B and went very quickly to "does the 45 ACP Witness magazine fit my gun" when I saw that CZ wants about $55.00 for a magazine. Aftermarket magazines for the EAA run about $25.00 each on line at Gunclip Depot, they're about $45.00 for the CZ version0
