Winchester 1876 -
I've got this 1876 Winchester chambered in .45-60 W.C.F. Its an early 2nd model with a serial # in the 4300 range. The wood has dings and gouges but no cracks, the metal has turned a deep brown with some pitting on the side plates. The pitting looks terrible by the pictures but it doesn't look as bad in person. It functions very well and locks up tight. It seems to me the barrel has been shortened. Can you give any information or value?

The barrel and magazine tube have definitely been cut down. That old rifle is in rough condition, and the value is minimal. My estimate is $1200 or so. 0
