uberti 45lc revolver
I have a Uberti revolver in 45lc that I don't know much about. I wanted to know its model and approximate value. the serial# is 170406

Need more than just the serial number. There are tons of variations of the Uberti revolvers in .45 Colt--different finishes, engraving, sights, grip frames etc. The basic Uberti is called the Cattleman that is a replica of the Colt SAA but they have variations on it. Have you looked at Uberti's website yet-tons of pics and info there. http://www.uberti.com/ Uberti also makes guns for Beretta and Cimarron. Value is based on which model you have--you can buy used ones in decent condition for under $400.
Uberti also makes a copy of the S&W Schofield top break revolver in .45 Colt and the 1875 & 1890 Remingtons--you didn't say which gun you had and all of these can be had in.45 Colt.

Chances are that your revolver is a clone of the Colt Single Action Army (Colt SAA) revolver. But, as ruger41 said, Uberti makes clones of other old makers' revolvers in caliber .45 Colt, plus variations of each, so post a photo.
Assuming your gun is a Colt SAA clone, Uberti is the maunfacturer, owned by Beretta. There are two major distributers of the Uberti guns: Taylor's and Cimarron. There are other distributers, too. Uberti also makes SAA revolvers branded for their daddy, Beretta.
Something to remember is that these Italian clones' parts and screws are not precisely interchangeable with Colt (or other original makers') guns. The grips are slightly different, major parts like the hammer, trigger, etc. do not interchange.

So your gun is a SAA clone. Walnut grips probably mean a "single piece" grip. Here is my opinion of value:
If it is in good, functional working order, its functionality not having been damaged by some self-professed cowboy gunsmith and the cosmetic finish is 80% or better, the gun is worth approximately $325.00 to $375.00. If the gun shows little wear and no cylinder ring line from dragging on the bolt and the finish is 90%+, maybe you could get $400.00.
HOWEVER, ONCE AGAIN, you will get the most accurate answer by posting a photo of the gun and revealing right up front all you know about the gun and any additional information you can get. A stainless or nickel cylinder in an otherwise blue and color-cased-hardened-finished gun indicates it has been worked or is some "special edition" something or other. That could be good or bad and personally, hearing that and not seeing photos, or being able to handle the gun, or knowing anything else about it......if it were for sale, I would not take a chance on it.0 -
It is single action army clone with a 7 1/2 inch blued barrel,stainless cylinder and a case hardened (?) frame. It has a walnut grip. the name on the barrel is A. Uberti. 0
