Hello:

This pistol is Mauser Oberndorf according to taxed in his frame. Model N " JOSEPH NICKL" reason why he sees himself. I consider the year of manufacture 1916-1920. But gustaria to know to me when really it was made, whereupon mechanism systems became and whatever. Since I own 2 units and with different systems from mechanisms and numeration.

  Se sabe muy poco acerca de los dise?os Nickl de Mauser, durante la Primera Guerra Mundial era. Los alemanes rechazaron todos sus dise?os, por lo que se puso a trabajar en Checoslovaquia despu?s de la guerra en lo que se convertir?a en el Ceskoslovenska Zbrojovka empresa.   Very little is known about Nickl designs for Mauser, during the World War I era. The Germans rejected all his designs, so he went to work in Czechoslovakia after the war at what was to become the Ceskoslovenska Zbrojovka Company. The pistol he designed for them was adopted by the Czech military and is known as the VZ 1922. Your pistol obviously predates that and is probably one of the World War I prototypes that the German military rejected.
  
  EDIT #1, Your pistol is pictured on page number 573 of the book "Handguns of the World" by E.C. Ezell. It is described as being a experimental 9mm Luger caliber , rotating-barrel, pistol that was made at Mauser in 1916. The pistol pictured in the this book is serial numbered #22.
  
  EDIT #2, The photo in Ezell's book is credited to Hank Visser who is/was? a very well known collector from the Netherlands. As Ezell's book is over 30 years old, no telling where #22 is now, or who owns it?
