Richardson Industries Slam Fire

Hi,

I have a 12ga slam fire, shingle shot shotgun, made by Richardson Industries. It has a vertical hand grip on the barrel. It is in very good condition with an excellent bore. Any idea on the value?

  They are not worth a whole lot of money, maybe fifty bucks in firing condition and about $100 for a brand hew example, if in fact such a thing even exists. They are far more a curiosity than a function firearms and the idea that such a thing could even be sold in today's law suit happy society is amazing.

  Thanks for the info. I have had it for years, passed down from my Grandfather. He mentioned that they were originally made to be dropped to the Filipano's during WWII because there was a lot of 12 ga ammo there, but few weapons and they were inexpensive to make (like the .45 Liberator single shot pistol).
