Scope Value Question...Hertel & Reuss Kassel Optik
I have a 2 3/4-10X scope that came on an early model 70 (1937 model). Is this scope worth anything? It has a very fine reticle with a dot in the middle. It also has Macro Variable engraved on the eye piece.
Thank you!

Is it worth anything? Heck yes it is! These were outstanding scopes which saw only limited importation during the early 1980s. They were quite pricey back then with retail prices at around $900 for the model that you have. I have not seen one in years but it wold ahve to be worth at least $400 if it is good shape and more than that if it is excellent. 0 -

Thanks Mark! Would you part it out and sell it separate from the rifle...or would you leave it on the M70? It's a 1941 in 22 Hornet...only about 20K made. I'll be listing it on GB once I determine the value...and the best way to go with the scope.0 -
sell separate will bring you more money . Come back to this post please when you can list the Auction Item Numbers. 0 -
I'd part it out as it really does nothing to boost the value of the Model 70 (a strange choice of magnification for a .22 Hornet) and someone out there will be happy to have that scope. 0 -
