S&W AR15-22
I have two questions regarding the S&W AR15-22. First, what is a reasonable price for one of these from a dealer (basic model) and what is the best ammo to run for 2-300 round shooting sessions. I have seen the prices run from $480.00 to $550.00.
I am very familiar with the m-16a3 platform after my service in the USMC but have never owned any version. After looking at one yesterday, there are noticable differences from the version I used. Although I have been shooting for over twenty-five years, The advances in these weapons systems has far surpassed my knowledge.

well when itcomes to the S&W ar15-22 there are no avances, they are made only as a 22 platform..they are nothing compared to a real AR15 i took delivery of one for customer ,,and i had to have a look inside, the bolt assymbly is cheap aluminum and plastic.i see problems down the road on this....for the money i would buy a dedicated 22 upper to put on a real lower , i currently have 4 of this configuration and they work great 0 -
Thanks, maybe I used the word "advancement" in the wrong context. I did notice the incredible light weight and the two piece barrel assembly. Maybe what I thought to be advancements are potential down grades? I am in no hurry to buy as I have a family-owned Rem-572 pump to pick-up from my grand father that is in mint condition from his origional purchase in 1965. I'll play with that until I know more. 0
